Dawn Herring

TRUSTEE

Dawn M. Herring is a Care Manager Certified and a member of the Aging Life Care Association (formerly National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers).

Born and raised in the City of Bayonne. Attended Bayonne HS Class of 1987. Received Bachelor of Science Degree from Saint Peter’s University in 1991 and 2001 she received her MBA in Management Information Systems also from SPU.

​1994-2000: Served as an Elder Law Paralegal for the Grodberg Law Firm of Bayonne.

2000-2002: Began working in New York City under the tutelage of Merrith H. Hockmeyer, Ph.D., where she served as Site Coordinator for MHH Clinical services action as Liaison to therapists, Article 28 Providers and Agencies to assure qualified individuals with Developmental Disabilities receive health care and develop the skills necessary for successful community living.

2002-present: After 9/11, Dawn decided to leave New York City and was fortunate enought ot retun home where she has served as a Care Manager for the Bayonne Office on Aging for the past 20 years. She was promoted to Care Management Supervisor in June 2015. Dawn has also been a Counselor for SHIP (State Health Insurance Program) for the past 16 years.

    • President- Bayonne Women’s Club (501(c)(3) charitable organization) (2016-present)

    • Certified Volunteer Advocate- State of NJ Long-Term Care Ombudsman @ Peace Care at St. Ann’s (2013-present)

    • Member- Global Missions Ministry of the First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens in Somerset, NJ through Lott Carey, a Global Christian Missional Community that provides prayer patrnership, financial support, and technical assistance to indigenous communities all over the world to support ministries fo evangelism, compassion, empowerment, and advocacy.
